Planctomyces  

What you should know:

Planctomycetes are Gram-negative spherical cells which reproduce by budding. They lack peptidoglycan in their cell walls. A few rare Planctomycetes, such as Gemmata obscuriglobus (right), actually have a membrane-enclosed nuclear body.
